OROP KRANTI : ON IMPLEMENTATION OF ACTUAL OROP

PROTEST MOVEMENT RELAY HUNGER STRIKE (RHS) AT JANTAR MANTAR AND OTHER LOCATION FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ACTUAL OROP

 

Dear Friends,

1.       Today, we have entered the 316^th Day of our relay Hunger Strike at Jantar Mantar and at other locations in the Country for the Implementation of Actual OROP.  Govt has implemented a Diluted OROP and the first installment has already been received.  We  thank our Hon’ble PM, RM  and the complete Cabinet which has restored though Diluted OROP  after 42 years of its having been  taken away  in 1973.

2.  Anomalies arising from the Implementation of OROP have already been represented to Justice Reddy Committee on 25 Mar 2016.  Justice Reddy is to give his recommendations within six months which ends on 15 June 2016.

3.   Shri Ram Jethmalani a renowned  senior  Advocate will be impleading our  case of implementation of Actual OROP  in an already ongoing case in SC in respect of Maj Gen Vain & Others Vs Govt  of India in a day or two.  Our petition is ready in all respects to be filed in SC.

4.       In view of the above, we wish to take some important decisions in respects of our ongoing Agitation and Relay Hunger Strike and to also chalk our future Course of action.  We therefore, request all members of the Defence Fraternity (ESM) to come to Jantar Mantar on 29^th April 2016 from 2 PM to 6 PM to participate in this important event in the History of OROP Movement.

5.  I specially request maximum officers and their family’s specially senior officers to come to Jantar Mantar by 2 PM on 29 April 2016.
