Mr Fakir Syed comes from a distinguished family of 

nobles of the City of Lahore. He tells the story of how 

the Muslims of Lahore called upon a Sikh leader, Ranjit 

Singh to save them. How under this illiterate Sikh ruler 

blind from one eye, Lahore became  a University in itself 

where you could not find someone who was not well 

versed in written and spoken Persian. A great untold 

story of the great city of Lahore.
