 ONGOING RELAY HUNGER STRIKE AND COUNTRYWIDE AGITATION IN SUPPORT OF IMPLEMENTATION OF OROP AT JANTAR MANTAR NEW DELHI

Dear Friends,

1.                  We enter into 108^{th Day} of Protest Movement at Jantar Mantar and at other locations in the Country.

2.      The implementation of OROP announced by the RM on 5^th Sep 2015 has seven serious shortcomings.  Infact it will KILL already Govt approved definition of OROP.

3.      There are over 1.67 lacs ESM staying in and around NCR.  We need to strengthen our Protest Movement by our physical presence at Jantar Mantar to showcase the solidarity to the cause of OROP.

4.      May we request every ESM, our members of the families and our supporters to visit Jantar Mantar atleast once a week.    If that is made possible there will be sizeable strength daily at Jantar Mantar.

5.      Treat this letter as most urgent for action.

Subject: AIR FORCE DAY CELEBRATIN ON 8th OCTOBER 2015

I am a strong supporter of IESM and OROP.  However, I somehow find it difficult to buy logic of boycotting functions of our own kind. How does the adage, 'United we stand, divided we fall' apply here? 

Boycotting AF Day celebrations, colour presentation is totally against the ethics of brotherhood..  I saw few photos sent by col SS Rajan of veterans with DM.  DM Shri Manohar Parrikar's visit to the National Military Memorial at Bangalore, on 06 Sep 2015.  Col SS Rajan is, also, great supporter of OROP.  But veterans in Bangalore saw no need to boycott the function.  I am sure lots of veterans attended the Arty Day yesterday.

Where do we derive our strength from?

My humble request to Gen Satbir is reconsider the decision and delete the service function from boycott list..
