The charge is 100% authentic. Mrs Devika Raghuvanshi has termed the grant of OROP as a continued an unending financial liability. She has been vociferously saying in evey meeting that OROP is not implementable. She is the progenitor of the party line adopted by the PMO, joint Secy Anurag Jain . She is totally biased and anti fauj in all interactions of the joint working group and meetings held with Defence minister and PMO officials. The govt has been spooked by her assertions of the prohibitive cost of OROP.
"Continued and unending financial liability" is her phrase. She has asserted that the govt prior to OROP has done enough already for ex servicemen by giving weightages and allowing max of pay scale for calculation of pension, and the OROP demand was neither justified nor implementable. She has claimed that faujis are leaving (PMR), especially offrs, because they are getting good jobs with companies like Tata, Rolta etc and they no longer want to work in difficult areas when they become eligible for pension after 20 years. This is the reason for addition of the PMR /VRS clause.
.... The serving army fraternity has not released the details precisely because they do not want to embarrass a serving EME colonel, who's the husband of this lady.
