OROP : Boycott of Govt and Mil functions

Dear Members 

We are all aware that Govt has given us a truncated and diluted OROP announced on 5 Sep by the Def Minister. It is for information of all that if this OROP is given to veterans then all of us ( ORs, NCOs, JCOs and officers ) will lose thousands of Rs in pension to be increased. Moreover the definition for which we were fighting will be completely destroyed. 

UFESM/IESM at sainik parliament at JM had given a call to boycott all Govt and Mil functions to convey our disappointment with the declaration of OROP by the Def Min. 

Many veterans have communicated that they hav been following this decision and have been boycotting all Govt and Mil functions. 

 

 

Most of veterans have received invite for all functions organised by Govt and Mil to celebrate victory of 1965 war. Veterans have been politely conveying their regret to attend such functions. On 22 Sep a high tea has been organised for veterans, who participated in 1965 war, at lawn of President house. Following veterans have sent their regret to attend the function.

All veterans are requested to kindly follow the advisory of sainik Parliament and politely decline the invite to send a strong message to Government that Exservicemen of India are very disappointed with the OROP declared by Government. 

UFESM/IESM has decided to felicitate war veterans of 1965 war at JM at 1100h on 22 Sep 2015. All  veterans with their families are requested to attend the felicitation function at JM. A high tea will also be arranged at JM  on 22 Sep 2015.
